Kempten, Germany – At the end of last year, ABT Sportsline began to supply the ABT Power performance upgrade for the current Audi S3 with the designation 8Y – thanks to ABT Engine Control, the sporty compact delivers a hefty 370 HP (272 kW) and 450 Nm. In order to accentuate acoustically the increased power of the 2.0 TFSI, the new stainless steel ABT exhaust system was developed for the S3. It is characterized by 4-pipe end-pipes in stylish matt black with an impressive 102 mm diameter.
As always, the Bavarians pay particular attention to detail and have bestowed the endpipes with the company’s logo. Enough of the visuals for now. Back to the audible impression: Thanks to the exhaust system’s sophisticated technology, driving the S3 is a more emotional experience with an enormous range of sounds. This technology can also be applied to its dynamic brother from the same stable, the CUPRA Formentor.
The world’s largest automotive aftermarket and performance parts specialist for Audi and VW also has three rim designs for the S3 in its range. On the one hand, there are the 20-inch SPORT GR rims in glossy and matt black. Also available in 20-inch is the classic 5-spoke design SPORT FR in mystic black. The 5-arm ER-C sports rim also perfectly emphasizes the powerful appearance of the S3. The 19-inch rim is available in matt black. The latter colour scheme is perfectly complemented by the matt black end pipes of the new ABT exhaust system.
