Vector Informatik and Solectrix Unveil Joint ADAS/AD Data Replay Solution at Automotive Testing Expo Stuttgart

Fürth/Stuttgart, Germany – Vector Informatik and Solectrix have announced a new integrated data replay solution designed to support the validation and testing of camera-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) functions. The solution combines the strengths of both companies to deliver a comprehensive platform for realistic, synchronized, and reproducible testing.

The collaboration brings together Vector’s established simulation and testing tools, CANoe and DYNA4, with Solectrix’s expertise in embedded vision technology and its high-performance video capture and replay platform, proFRAME. The integrated environment enables development and testing teams to replay camera data from both real-world and virtual driving scenarios with high precision and repeatability.

By fully integrating CANoe, DYNA4, and proFRAME, engineers can execute identical test scenarios across multiple software versions, helping identify regressions early in the development cycle and analyze complex or infrequent traffic situations in a controlled manner. The approach reduces testing effort, enhances result comparability, and accelerates product development.

A key innovation of the solution is its ability to generate real-time camera streams from virtual driving scenarios while simultaneously emulating camera I²C communication. This allows developers to validate ECU-based environment models, data fusion outputs, and ADAS/AD driving functions without requiring a physical vehicle. The platform also supports advanced testing applications, including targeted fault injection through video and I²C data manipulation, enabling detailed investigation of edge cases and safety-critical scenarios.

According to the companies, the modular and scalable toolchain combines reproducible testing, flexible data sources, and advanced simulation capabilities within a unified workflow. The integrated solution is intended to improve transparency and efficiency throughout the development process while supporting the continuous validation of increasingly sophisticated ADAS and automated driving systems.
