Ezz Elarab Star Introduces the All-Electric Smart #5 to the Egyptian Market

Cairo, Egypt – Ezz Elarab Group has officially introduced the all-electric smart #5 in Egypt through its subsidiary Ezz Elarab Star, the exclusive importer of the German-born smart brand in the local market. The launch marks the model’s first appearance in Egypt as part of its broader rollout across the Middle East.

The unveiling took place during a high-profile event attended by senior executives, strategic partners, and members of the media. The launch reflects the brand’s ongoing expansion strategy and strengthens its position within Egypt’s growing premium electric vehicle segment. The new model highlights the company’s commitment to bringing advanced automotive technologies and a comprehensive driving experience to the market, combining modern design, strong performance, and intelligent features in line with the global transition toward sustainable mobility.

The smart #5 represents a significant milestone for the brand, following the introduction of the smart #1 and smart #3 models in 2025. The latest addition sets new standards in interior space, electric driving range, and performance, targeting a wider customer base seeking a premium electric vehicle that balances practicality with cutting-edge innovation.

As with all smart models, the smart #5 is designed by Mercedes-Benz, reflecting the brand’s renowned German engineering heritage. The vehicle incorporates advanced safety and technology features while delivering a refined driving experience tailored to the needs of the Egyptian market.

Built on an 800-volt architecture, the smart #5 offers a driving range of up to 600 kilometers (WLTP) and supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. The model has also received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, further reinforcing its safety credentials.

She added that the smart #5 is available for immediate delivery through the company’s main showrooms at District 5 in New Cairo and Royal Park in Sheikh Zayed, as well as the Pop-up showroom at Ezz Elarab Star in 6th of October City.

Prices start at EGP 2,099,000 for the Pro+, EGP 2,449,000 for the Premium, and EGP 2,649,000 for the Brabus. All models come with a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, and three years of complimentary service.
