Cairo, Egypt – GB Auto, in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company, has unveiled the all-new electric IONIQ 9 in a landmark event at Saqqara, one of Egypt’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Titled “The Living Pixels,” the event transformed the historic location into a global stage, blending art, fashion, music, and technology to present Hyundai’s vision for the future of electric mobility.
The immersive showcase marked a major milestone for Hyundai in the Middle East and Africa, highlighting the brand’s fully electric IONIQ lineup—including IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6, and the newly launched IONIQ 9—through a runway-inspired presentation. Each model reflected a distinct design philosophy, unified by Hyundai’s signature pixel-inspired aesthetic and fluid visual language.
“The Living Pixels”: Redefining the Human–Car Relationship
At the center of the experience was Hyundai’s creative concept “The Living Pixels,” which brought the brand’s iconic pixel lighting to life as an interactive and emotional design language expressed through light, motion, and sound. Three monumental pixel-inspired cubes guided guests through immersive journeys that explored the intersection of innovation, lifestyle, and electric mobility.
The event featured collaborations with leading Egyptian creatives, each aligned with a core creative pillar. IONIQ 5 N was interpreted through performance and music in collaboration with composer and music producer Hassan El Shafei, while IONIQ 6 was showcased through a fashion-driven vision created with fashion entrepreneur Ekram Abed (Cocca). The flagship IONIQ 9 was artistically presented through spatial design and visual art in collaboration with architect Karim El Assal. The evening concluded with a live performance by singer Mahmoud El Esseily.

IONIQ 9: A New Benchmark in Electric SUVs
With the introduction of the IONIQ 9, Hyundai further strengthens its leadership in electric mobility. As the largest and most luxurious model in the IONIQ family, the all-electric SUV is designed to meet the needs of modern families and long-distance travelers, combining futuristic intelligence with versatility and comfort.
Design and Dimensions
IONIQ 9 features a bold exterior with sculpted lines that enhance aerodynamic efficiency and road presence. The model measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, delivering exceptional interior space and stability. The design reflects Hyundai’s future-forward philosophy, balancing simplicity, precision, and dynamic detailing.
Powertrain, Performance, and Range
The vehicle is powered by a high-capacity 110.3 kWh battery, available in rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configurations. The all-wheel-drive version offers a driving range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge, depending on trim level.
Performance variants feature dual electric motors, delivering up to 160 kW and 70 kW, while the top Performance trim is equipped with dual 160 kW motors for enhanced power and responsiveness.
Interior: A Smart Living Space
Inside, the IONIQ 9 is designed as an intelligent living space, offering premium materials, generous legroom across all rows, and advanced comfort features. The cabin includes multi-adjustable power seats with heating, ventilation, and relaxation functions, along with a large infotainment display supporting Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition.
Higher trims are equipped with a Bose premium sound system featuring up to 14 speakers, multi-zone automatic climate control, smart keyless entry and start, a power tailgate with adjustable height, multiple power outlets, digital side mirrors, and advanced LED headlights with dual-lighting technology.

IONIQ 9 comes with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety and driver-assistance systems, designed to enhance protection and driver confidence in both urban driving and highway conditions.
