Bugatti Brouillard Takes Center Stage at Chantilly Arts & Élégance 2026

Chantilly, France – In the magnificent setting of the Château de Chantilly, where automotive excellence meets French elegance and the art of living, Bugatti celebrated a defining moment in the history of its Programme Solitaire with the official handover of the extraordinary Brouillard to its owner during Chantilly Arts & Élégance Richard Mille 2026.

Created around an individual vision while remaining deeply rooted in Bugatti’s heritage, craftsmanship and engineering values, the one-of-one masterpiece embodies the close relationship between the marque and its customers.

 

The handover took place during an exclusive private celebration inside the Château de Chantilly’s Dôme of the Great Stables. Surrounded by family and friends, the owner was presented with the bespoke creation by members of the Bugatti team who had accompanied the project throughout its development, from its initial concept to its realization.

02 2609 BUGATTI_Chantilly_RecapRooted in tradition and conceived to become part of Bugatti’s legacy, Brouillard reflects the philosophy behind Programme Solitaire: creating highly individual automobiles that combine personal expression with the heritage, artistry and engineering excellence of Molsheim. Its delivery at Chantilly marked the culmination of a unique creative journey shared between the customer and the Bugatti family.

 

In collaboration with Bugatti Paris, the marque also curated an exceptional showcase for invited guests, bringing together a selection of rare, handcrafted masterpieces that represented different chapters of Bugatti’s modern history.

 

Among the highlights were the highly personalized Veyron La Maison Pur Sang 20 Years and the Sur Mesure W16 Mistral ‘Le Retour de Jeune Prince’, alongside the engineering-focused W16 Mistral World Record Car and Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car. Together, the cars showcased the craftsmanship, individuality and performance that have defined successive generations of modern Bugatti automobiles.

 

05 2609 BUGATTI_Chantilly_RecapThe celebrations extended beyond the Château grounds, with three Veyron models and the Chiron Profilée taking part in a spectacular rally through the roads surrounding Chantilly. Guests later gathered for lunch at the Polo Club alongside Mate Rimac, Hendrik Malinowski and Frank Heyl, Bugatti Director of Design.

 

 

Sunday’s festivities continued with an elegant Garden Party across the Château grounds, offering guests hot-air balloon rides, leisurely boat tours along the Grand Canal and horse-drawn carriage rides. The event captured the traditional spirit of the early Concours d’Élégance, where automotive beauty, craftsmanship and refined social gatherings came together in celebration.

 

More than 700 collector cars and their owners gathered throughout the event, creating a remarkable display of automotive heritage and contemporary design.

 

Brouillard later took center stage before a wider audience when it entered the Concept Class of the Concours d’Élégance, presented by Mate Rimac and Christophe Piochon. The one-off masterpiece also led the Bugatti Parade, bringing together modern and pre-war models in a celebration of the marque’s enduring heritage.

 

10 2609 BUGATTI_Chantilly_RecapThe Brouillard was joined by a remarkable selection of historic Bugatti models, including the Type 39, Type 35, Type 35 A, Type 51, Type 13 Brescia, Type 37, Type 37 A and Type 40 Grand Sport. A 1925 Bugatti Type 35 emerged victorious in the ‘Bugatti: Race Cars’ class, further highlighting the connection between the marque’s historic racing legacy and its contemporary creations.

 

The gathering offered a striking dialogue between generations of Bugatti automobiles, demonstrating how the marque’s latest creations remain firmly connected to a legacy built on beauty, innovation and performance. The philosophy established by Ettore Bugatti continues to influence the craftsmanship, design and engineering of the brand’s modern masterpieces.

 

11 2609 BUGATTI_Chantilly_RecapAdding another accolade to an already significant weekend, Brouillard was awarded ‘Best of Show Concept-Cars, Restomods & One-Offs’. The distinction recognized the exceptional combination of design, craftsmanship and performance embodied by the unique creation.

 

 

Following the award, the owner proudly paraded the one-of-one Brouillard around the iconic Le Nôtre’s Water Mirrors, providing a fitting conclusion to a weekend that celebrated both the automobile and the unique relationship between Bugatti and its customers.

 

Against the backdrop of the Château de Chantilly, Bugatti’s participation in Chantilly Arts & Élégance 2026 highlighted the marque’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship, design, performance and French Art de Vivre. From legendary pre-war models to contemporary one-off creations, the gathering demonstrated how Bugatti continues to connect its storied past with an ambitious new era of bespoke automotive artistry.
