Victories and Podiums for Ferrari in GT Championships

Maranello, Italy – The 488 GTE of Iron Lynx enjoyed a victorious debut in the opening race of the European Le Mans Series held yesterday in Barcelona, accompanied on the podium by the Ferrari of Spirit of Race. On the same circuit on Saturday, the 488 GT3 Evo 2020s of Iron Lynx and AF Corse claimed a double podium in the Le Mans Cup. In the GT World Challenge Europe, held yesterday at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, third and fourth place in the Pro class went to the two Ferraris of Iron Lynx.

2 box2_hi The Ferrari 488 GTE of Iron Lynx secured first place in its first race in the European Le Mans Series with official Ferrari Competizioni GT driver Miguel Molina, Rino Mastronardi and Matteo Cressoni. In a race where Maranello’s cars showed their great competitiveness, third place went to Duncan Cameron, Matthew Griffin and David Perel of Spirit of Race. The all-female crew of Iron Lynx – Frey, Gatting, Gostner took fourth – beating their #60 teammates, Schiavoni, Sernagiotto, Ruberti. Fannin, Fontana and Sales in the 488 GTE of JMW Motorsport crossed the line in sixth.

In the first round of the 2021 Le Mans Cup held at the Barcelona circuit, the two 2020 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evos competing mounted the podium in the GT3 class. Reigning champions Rino Mastronardi and Paolo Ruberti took the Iron Lynx car to second place. Ken Abe and Matteo Cressoni crossed the line third in the AF Corse Ferrari after a great battle for second place.

3 box3_hi The 3 Hours of Monza, the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, ended with third and fourth spot in Pro class for the two Ferrari Iron Lynx crews. At the end of a race full of twists and turns, the #71 crew of Davide Rigon, Antonio Fuoco and Callum Ilott were able to climb onto the lowest step of the Pro class podium, ahead of their #51 sister car driven by reigning champion Alessandro Pier Guidi, Nicklas Nielsen and Côme Ledogar. In the Silver Cup, seventh place went to Rinaldi Racing, while the AF Corse car was sixth across the finish line, best of the Ferraris competing in Pro-Am.
